Black Christmas

First and foremost we want to say a big Happy Thanksgiving to any American followers. We hope your Holiday is filled with lots of love and laughter!

I'd also like to apologize for our blog this week - or lack there of! We've been 'riding the wave' of the launch so-to-speak and have been quite busy with that which resulted in a little blog neglect.
Thank you so much to everyone though who's supported the shop and popped on over to check us out! Also, a huge thank-you to all the people who have sent us such sweet encouraging emails or comments related to all thing shop - it really means a lot to us!

Well it's feeling a little more like Christmas at our house these days!
The past few years I've never really loved decorating for Christmas - especially when it comes to the forest green tree. You're all well aware of my colour fear, so having a green tree never really excited me or "fit".
This year we decided to do things a little differently. Why not get a BLACK tree - yes, that's right.. our Christmas tree is black and we LOVE it!

(Don't mind the toys on the floor)

Now don't judge, I'm not am expert at tree decorating. I'm quite happy with how it feels in our space though and we've had several people in our house who actually love the black!

I will also be adding one of these fabulous lacquer magnolia wreaths from our Shop that you can buy here

They come in several fun colours (which I might decide to go for) and are absolutely beautiful! I can't wait for mine to arrive!

I just wanted to give a heads-up that half of 219 will be MIA for a few days - we're off to the sunshine state.
Just a little forewarn that there might not be a post up every single day as I don't expect Christine to run the blog & shop all by her lonesome!

  1. love the black. What is the colour on your walls? It's divine.

    1. It's just called "Black" by Mythic Paint. It's a super eco-friendly paint and the painters were shocked with how well it applied. We'll definitely be using it again!

    2. Thank you Thank you! I'm about to try BM Onyx in their commercial zero voc line. I'm so excited about having a black black wall :)

  2. A fellow colour-phobe! I'm not alone!

p.s. The black tree looks ab fab. I would never have thought/dared to go so dark with something traditional. So is it true - once you go black, you never go back?
